Acceptance
By using HowLongDoICook you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes means you accept the updated version.
What the site is
HowLongDoICook provides estimated cooking times, temperatures, and food-safety information for reference. It is a utility tool, not a substitute for professional culinary or food-safety advice, and does not constitute medical, dietary, or commercial food-handling guidance.
Food safety disclaimer
Cooking times and temperatures shown on this site are estimates based on common home appliances and standard cuts. Actual results vary based on your specific equipment, the food's starting temperature, thickness, and other factors. You are responsible for verifying that food is cooked to a safe internal temperature using an instant-read thermometer before serving. Safe internal temperature references come from the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service and are provided as published — we don't modify them.
HowLongDoICook is not liable for any illness, injury, or damages resulting from reliance on information published on the site. When our content conflicts with a reading from a properly calibrated thermometer, trust the thermometer.
Acceptable use
- Don't scrape the site in a way that degrades service for other users.
- Don't attempt to breach security, inject code, or circumvent rate limits.
- Don't republish large portions of our content as your own.

Third-party links
We may link to third-party sites, including the USDA and appliance manufacturers. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or practices.
