About

Just the answer. No fluff.

HowLongDoICook.com exists for exactly one reason: to give you the fastest, most accurate cooking-time answer on the internet. No grandma story. No 27-paragraph recipe intro. No autoplay video. Just the time, the temperature, and the safe internal target.

What we do

Every page on this site answers one question: how long do I cook this?Pick a food, a cut, and an appliance. We tell you the cook time, when to flip, how long to rest, and the exact internal temperature it needs to hit. You can start a live kitchen timer from the same page and get a browser notification when it's done.

Where our numbers come from

Every safe internal temperature on this site comes directly from the USDA FSIS food safety charts. Cook times come from a combination of USDA roasting charts, manufacturer documentation for specific appliances, and real test cooks. When a time is an estimate — and most are — we say so clearly and always point you back to an instant-read thermometer.

What we won't do

  • ✗ Fake personal stories to pad content length
  • ✗ Autoplay video ads that cover the answer
  • ✗ Newsletter popups in the first 10 seconds
  • ✗ "Jump to recipe" buttons (there's nothing to jump over)
  • ✗ Claim precision we don't have — cook times are estimates, not science

A note on accuracy

Cooking is physics, not math. A 1-inch chicken breast in one air fryer will not cook at the exact same speed as the same breast in another air fryer — wattage, basket size, and airflow all matter. Our numbers are conservative ranges calibrated to the most common home appliances. The only ground truth is your thermometer reading.

Who makes this

HowLongDoICook is a utility-first project built to be useful first and profitable later. We don't take sponsorships that influence cook times or safety recommendations. If we ever link to a product — like a thermometer — it's because we'd buy it ourselves.
